Reward (Ship) logbook, 1804-1805.

The logbook of the ship Reward details a shipping voyage from Newburyport, Mass., to Norfolk, Va., and then Liverpool and Cadiz, May 1804-April 1805. The ship's home port was Newburyport; the owner was Edmund Kimball; the master was John Moulten. The logbook includes inventories of the cargo discharged from the ship. During its voyage, the Reward spoke the schooner Fame (out of Gloucester), the ships George (out of New York), President (out of New Bedford), and Sally (out of Newbury, Mass.), and the brig Tiger (out of Boston).
